an introduction

Kia ora, Hana and Jess here with our passion project, wanting to create something purposeful, meaningful and good. Āio Clothing looked totally different when we first started off and do doubt it’ll grow and evolve in the future but right now, this is what it looks like.

We’ve been manifesting like crazy, working on this kaupapa for a while and we’re excited to finally share it with you. But first! Introductions..

Jess: Kia ora. He uri tēnei nō ngā waka o Te Arawa, Mātaatua, Ngātokimatawhaorua me Araiteuru hoki.

Currently a stay at home/working from home māmā to two beautiful pēpi, Waiora & Te Mākoha and partner to Pāpā Cam.

These babies (man child included) have had a significant influence in allowing me to have a better understanding of what āio means. Nobody has taught me more about the importance of balance than my better half and our babies, and for that I am forever grateful. Of the many hopes and dreams we have for our pēpi, one of the most important is to show them that anything is possible while we are in that state of āio.

Hana: Nei ngā herenga waka o Te Moana Nui a Kiwa, o Kereti/Ingarangi, nei a Te Aho Matua e mihi nei ki a koutou, otirā ki a tātou.

Unlike Jess, the only babies I have (man child not included), are kaupapa/project pēpi — for the time being anyway… lol and Āio Clothing is the latest addition to the whānau.  Āio has looked different at different phases in my life and my understanding of it evolves as I grow, learn, experiment and explore. I’m grateful for the learnings we’ve had, getting to here and hohhh there’ve been many haha and looking forward to the rest yet to come.

That's a little bit about us, we'd love to hear about you and grow together.

Hana & Jess
